PARTYNEXTDOOR’s Homecoming Was Everything Toronto Wanted and more.

PARTYNEXTDOOR finally returned to Toronto and exceeded anyone’s expectations with a magical show and a very special Drake set.

PND hasn't publicly performed in Toronto since his 2016 tour accompanying P3 where he performed at REBEL to a crowd of under 3000 people. Last year the Sauga city singer had an exclusive intimate show at History that had the city begging for more.

During Caribana week in Toronto, PND decided to return in the biggest way possible with a OVO store takeover, meet and greet, a special tour stop specifically for Toronto and a day party at Cabana.

The main event was the PARTYNEXTDOOR and friends concert that replaced the original ‘Sorry I'm Outside’ Toronto tour stop. It was marked as a special event and he delivered on that promise.

With energy at an all time high, fans waited patiently to see who PND would bring. The first guest was Night Owl Sound consisting of OVO Mark and OVO Noel who delivered a high-energy set that kept the entire crowd on their feet. The next guest was Toronto artist Swavy who has been on the road with PND, the hometown crowd showed a lot of love to the rising star. “Old Ways” his breakout song had the building shaking as everyone sang along to the catchy anthem. Another DJ played some more hyped songs as all 20,000 entered Budweiser Stage eagerly waiting for their hometown hero.

The lights went out and every single attendee was on their feet making noise. Opening with “L o s e M y M i n d” it was clear it was going to be a special night. He rolled through all of P4 performing crowd favorites like “F o r C e r t a i n” “M a k e I t T o T h e M o r n i n g”, “N o C h i l l” and many more. He also showed off his impressive catalog covering classics like “Break From Toronto”, “Persian Rugs”, “Wednesday Night Interlude” and more.

It was clear the day one PND fans were in the building. As he ended with his current hit “N o C h i l l” the lights went out and eerie music filled the building. After a couple minutes and stage change the instrumental to “Sweeterman” hits and out pop ups Drake. With deafening screams it’s clear no one loves Drake as much as Toronto does. He then rolled into his meme-worthy “Wagwan Deliah” remix and let the fans know we were in for a special R&B set.

Drizzy did not lie, he completed a 45 minute set of straight R&B favorites including “Trust Issues”, “Bahamas Promises”, “Connect” and so much more. He also brought out Roy Woods for “Drama”.

For the last two songs he brought PARTYNEXTDOOR back out and the duo did “Recognize” and “Come See Me”.

Finally as the show was ending, Drake announced that the duo has been working on a collab project slated to drop in the fall.

PARTYNEXTDOOR returned to Toronto in the grandest way possible, hopefully the wait won't' be as long for the next appearance.
