iBXRHM Drops The Visual for his Sexy Drill Banger “SHE LUV”

The subgenre heating up Hip-Hop recently has crept into Toronto through iBXRHM. The Toronto-based artist/producer known for his dark, melodic tones of contemporary R&B/HipHop has been grinding behind the scenes gearing up for his takeover.
He recently graduated from the Remix Project, opened up for Dutch R&B artist Gaidaa, and performed at History and Canadian Music Week. In May, iBXRHM dropped the sexy drill-inspired bop “SHE LUV”. Since its release, it has amassed over 20,000 streams in North America and the UK. The single has also cemented itself on prominent Apple Music and Spotify playlists such as ‘New In Hip Hop’, ‘The Plug' and ‘Northern Bars’’.
In support of all the success following the single, the Toronto-based artist served his fans with aVHS-inspired music video. Shot and edited by @nkhlsview, the visuals take us through a day in the artist's life. With a shopping trip, to hanging out with friends to the club. The music video captures that energetic, fun environment that the record oozes.
“SHEL LUV” pulls inspiration from New York’s Cash Cobain and Chow Lee's coined sexy drill. A genre known for flipping R&B-inspired sounds/samples over drill beats with lyrics catered towards women. iBXRHM put his twist on the sound and created a vibe.
“SHE LUV is about a girl who’s all about me and I’m all about her, just showing my appreciation for how special she is. I was listening to a lot of Cash, Chow Lee and R2RMoe and wanted to put my own twist to that sound. I’ve been a fan of the genre for a while so it was cool to step out of the Dark R&B matrix for a bit. Creating memorable moments and just having fun with it –that’s all I’ve been tryna do. ”
