LIVE | By Kesh Sharpe

Kevin Hart’s getting older, which means we’re getting new jokes.

On September 6th, 2024, Hart brought his talents to The Bowl At Sobeys Stadium in Toronto, Canada, with his “Acting My Age” Tour, alongside openers Joey Wells, Spank Horton, and Na’im Lynn. Despite the downpour that soaked the outdoor venue, Kevin Hart delivered a standout performance, effortlessly keeping the audience laughing throughout the night.

Kicking off the night with some jabs at a sports legend’s fashion choices and their kids' talents or lack thereof, Kevin Hart playfully picks fun at how he’s sometimes not the favourite person in the room. He goes on to share stories like challenging a former athlete to a race and realizing his legs may not be as young as they used to be, jokingly making us all remember the times where we overcompensated and paid the price.

Making light of slips, falls, and wheelchairs, his take on aging had everyone laughing, both young and old. Blending injuries and humour, get insight into some of the heartfelt family moments that the public doesn’t always get to see. As he touches on modern relationships and the need for additional enhancements as you age, he makes awkward topics lighthearted, funny, and relatable, making the audience erupt in laughter at a moment's notice.

Hart takes a quick moment out of the show to provide his thoughts on health and wellness, where he tells us that not only our physical but our mental health is important. With the light drizzle falling over the crowd, he received claps and head nods, bringing some warm relatability to his set centered around getting older.

With each story, Kevin paints the picture for the audience bringing them into his world, making you question if these stories were really true or if he’s just a master of his class and they were all just one big joke. Kevin leaves us with a lasting impression that getting old happens to us all and the only thing we can do is have fun with it and act our age.
