Latto Receives the Biggest Welcome to Toronto with her Sold-Out Show
Women have been taking over Hip-Hop in the past couple of years, and Latto has been leading the pack.
Earlier this year, Latto released her album ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea’, which included a wide range of bangers and viral hits.
In support of her latest project, she rolled into Toronto with KARRAHBOOO and Mariah The Scientist for a sold-out HISTORY show.
Tensions were high as Mariah the Scientist, briefly left the tour because her man, Young Thug, had been released from prison. However, the singer still arrived at the show, which the entire crowd was happy to see. During her set, she celebrated the Atlanta rapper being home, getting the crowd to shout out, “Thug Free.”
Latto’s DJ then appeared for a fun and energetic set, showing love to the women running Hip-Hop right now. He started paying homage to the city with a mini Drake set, to who was present in the owner's suite dancing along with the crowd.
Then it was time for Big Mama to finally turn up Toronto. She came out to “Georgia Peach” then immediately rolled into “Housekeeping Knows”. A spotlight and microphone emerged with Drake and he started to perform from the balcony, as Latto danced on stage. The crowd erupted as the
duo debuted their first live performance together, the Toronto rapper showed love to Latto and let her get back to work.
Latto then rolled into “There She Go”, “Back Outside” “Blick Sum” and more crowd favourites. The Atlanta rapper definitely brought that Georgia heat, with her set and bedazzled microphone.
She then tested Toronto to see who’s been with her since day one with “No Hook” and “Bitch From Da Souf” to which the city passed with flying colours.
To show more love to Toronto, she brings out Sadboi, the city’s hottest artist and woman. Sadboi performed her hits “Slide” and “Baddies”.
Latto then brought Mariah The Scientist back out for “Look What I Did”. As she leaves the stage Latto teases Mariah for coming back to the tour. They then start singing “I'm Sprung” and “My Man”, the TikTok audio, as they talk about how much they love their significant others.
Closing out the show she sent the crowd up with “Brokey”. During “S/O to Me” she shows off her lyricism and doesn't miss one bar.
During “Chicken Grease” you can visually see how much fun she’s having on stage which is reflected on Toronto as well.
At this point of the show, the crowd was begging to hear “Big Mama” which Latto stated she’ll save as the closer.
She then selected a birthday girl in the crowd to play the “Lattoery” aka a cheetah-printed box full of money. The crowd member had 10 seconds to grab as much money as possible.
With another crowd chant for “Big Mama” Latto finally got to the requested song and Toronto didn't miss a word.
Overall the show was a high and fun energetic party from start to finish. Latto proved why they call her the biggest, Toronto will definitely be waiting for the Atlanta rapper to return immediately.
