Teezo Touchdown Sparks Toronto With Unmatched Energy, Cementing His Status As An Elite Rising Star
Teezo Touchdown’s Spend The Night Tour rolled into Toronto Tuesday night and left an impact. The show marked the Texas rapper’s first headlining show in the city. Though not a stranger to Toronto, who previously made appearances at Tyler the Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost Tour and Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour.
Teezo’s sold-out show took place at Phoenix Concert Theatre where enthusiastic fans formed a line stretching down the street, eagerly waiting for the perfect spot. The night opened up with That Good Sh*t founder Annabelle Kline and Jacob Ford hosting a Teezo Touchdown trivia where Toronto gained a perfect score. In between questions they played music videos showing love to Toronto’s PartyNextDoor and Sadboi. The trivia then rolled into a hyped DJ set from Annabelle.
With the crowd warmed up, the entire room was ready for Teezo to touchdown. The Texas artist referred to the set as a story through his life divided by an interview with Annabelle. He came out with his iconic bouquet mic backed by a white garage and a tree. He ran through his set with Toronto screaming every word. The impressive performance boasted no backing track, just Teezo and his fans.
Toronto loved the entire set that rolled through his catalogue, most notably his debut project How Do You Sleep At Night? Tracks such as “Sweet”, “Neighborhood” and “Rock Paper Strippers” sent the crowd into a frenzy.
A fun portion of the set was when he dove into his feature bag, showcasing his additions with Tyler The Creator, Travis Scott and Toronto’s hometown legend Drake.
With everyone eating out of his palms, terrific crowd control and superb performance skills, it’s clear Teezo Touchdown will be a major act in the future.
Overall the entirety of the show was an enjoyable experience. Teezo Touchdown fans will be pleased to be a part of his first-ever headlining tour.
