Delete all that Sh*t - Jojo Picasso

MUSIC| WAVYMOMENT

Jojo Picasso is a Minnesotan artist determined to introduce the masses to a unique sound and “Love” off his most recent album “Delete All That Shit” is the perfect example. This project was a collaborative project between Jojo Picasso and Just Jimi. Picasso makes music that can fit under multiple umbrellas; his music is a hybrid of RnB, Hip-Hop, Soul, new-age jazz among others, which provides him with a range that most artists do not have. On “Love’ he speaks on his experience with dealing with criticism and how people might be envious of the projection of his music career. He focuses on his craft and subsequently many people feel threatened; however, Picasso is ready for all the smoke. He plays into some of the noise from critics, using lyrics like “ He sings but he raps like Weezy” in a perfectly emphasized Lil Wayne voice, to mock people making these comparisons. It’s refreshing to see an artist that doesn’t box themselves in and allow their creative expression to run wild regardless of public opinion. Go listen to the whole project “Delete All That Shit” out on all platforms!

We tapped in with Jojo Picasso and here’s what he had to say:

How would you describe the music you typically create nowadays?

I’d say it depends on emotion I’m trying to convey and what genre can compliment that it’s a eclectic assortment of vibes I can’t really pinpoint a specific sound because i don’t like being put into boxes

What is your creative process like, especially in your most recent projects?

It usually do punch ins where I create a melody and find words to complete the ideals I have at the moment so that’s what came to mind create. my last project collaboration with a artist from Minnesota named Just Jimi we literally was in a studio space I leased out called the Red Room we literally spent a year creating just about 5/6 projects 2 dropped one 3 unreleased I come up with a idea and alley oop it and he’d understand the assignment even if it wasn’t fully something he was used to

What Is The Message You Wish Listeners To Take Away From The Tracks?

I want a fan based that’s open to new ideas that has a open mind every release like what is Picasso gonna come up with next because I’m a creative not just a singer/rapper

Any Exclusive information / announcements you got for the vibenextdoor,
