Erick Tuckers new single "kind-of way” featuring Mike Free is too nice!

MUSIC | By WavyWarrior

Eric Tucker is a multi-talented artist based out of California making a name for himself in the R&B space, pairing R&B vocals smoothly on an upbeat hip hop beat. Tucker and Mike Free created a piece of work where they seamlessly ad lib over each other’s vocals, complementing each other beautifully and I can’t lie if you’re not vibing to this then you must be feeling a kind of way. The hook will have your head bouncing and it will be stuck in your head for the upcoming week.  Here’s more from Tucker himself…

How would you describe the music you typically create nowadays?

The music I’m making these days is upbeat R&B/Hiphop. Melody wise I still have my signature sound which is classic R&B vibes.

What is your creative process like, especially in your most recent projects?

I would say, freestyle. When I make beats I don’t have anything in mind I try to freestyle chords on keys until I start to feel what I’m playing. When it comes to songwriting I’ll go in the booth and sing whatever comes to me. Usually the melody that I’m singing just turns into words and a concept. That’s how we made kind of way.

What Is The Message You Wish Listeners To Take Away From The Tracks?

The overall message in this song and pretty much all my music is it’s ok to be yourself which in my case is being open about being in love, sometimes as men we have to play tough and pretend like we don’t have feelings. I’m a lover. I talk about being in love, losing love, working it out, admitting how hard it is to be in a relationship instead of faking it on IG lol. The trouble of pursuing your dreams but still trying to keep a relationship going. My music is going to always try and find that balance that we all want.

Listen to “ KIND OF WAY” here :

I’m working on a project right now, Mike Free and I have already made an album worth of music. I’m still writing new songs daily. I have some features lined up, don’t want to give those away just yet. I think I have to tighten up a couple songs. Probably put out another single.
