Antoine, an artist all the way from Melbourne’s West, Australia, started rapping with his cousin from St Louis, USA when he came down to live with them for a few years in Australia. Ever since then, he has been writing songs.

“I used to come home from school in grades 4-8 and write song after song after song. I had like 20+ track albums of all these songs. I wish I still had it! I couldn’t wait to get home from school and write a new song!! I started rapping publicly at 18 and have been going ever since, now singing a bit as well.”

Antoine also works side by side with his producer ServidSounds, as they continue to spice up the Rnb game, bouncing from RnB to Hip Hop, with his true passion for RnB.

How would you describe the music you typically create nowadays?

These days I create mostly RnB vibes that really get you in your feels. But it’s always depending on where I’m at and what I’m doing in that present period. I do jump genres sometimes and venture to the Hip Hop side of things. Particularly if I’m feeling a little conceited, haha. But RnB is definitely where the passion lies. I naturally blend new school RnB with old school melodies from my influences growing up to now, which always gives different energy. People tell me my rap tone is quite nostalgic, so I definitely play on that for a point of difference.

What is your creative process like, especially in your most recent project?

Generally, my producer ServidSounds will hit me with a beat; if it’s a vibe, then it’s on. With New Bae Sh*t, we caught a vibe instantly, and it was written, recorded and mastered within a couple of weeks. I’m always fussy with beats, and I turn a lot down. But when the right one comes through, you know it’s about to be special. That was exactly how it went with New Bae Sh*t.

What Is The Message You Wish Listeners To Take Away From The Track?

As much as this is an upbeat summer vibe and that chorus hits. I always make sure what I’m saying in my verses leaves a mark. But with every song you hear, I say listen openly, listen freely, bop your head and enjoy that shit. This track, in particular, I recommend for that summertime drive with your crew, roll down those windows and blow the speakers. Or add it to that Backyard Party playlist, feel me?! Can never go wrong with this track.
